Salt. Bandon

SALT. Bandon is the everyday square that does not look like a stock square. Named for Bandon Dunes, it is a unisex optical with a modern, softly squared silhouette—clean lines, a light presence, and enough attitude that it does not disappear on the face.

In the chair it behaves like a well-made acetate should: Japanese stock that stays rigid after we heat and set it, rivet hinges built to be adjusted more than once, and a measured acetate thickness so the lens sits optically, not under stress. Designed in California. Handcrafted in Japan. Frame $465.

Who it’s for. Truly unisex. If you want a progressive, slightly squared frame for work and weekend without going oversized, this is the one. The 49 mm eye and 19 mm bridge are a medium, slightly easier bridge than Crystal; 145 mm temples. Best confirmed in person.
