SALT. Emma is a butterfly sunglass with real drama and no plastic-costume weight. The shape is Hollywood golden-era butterfly—wide, lifted, unapologetic—rebuilt in aerospace-grade Japanese titanium so it stays light on the face. That is the point of this frame in our case: statement silhouette, metal construction, polarized lenses already in the chassis.
SALT. specifies polarized optical-grade glass and CR-39, with anti-reflective, hydrophobic, and oleophobic coatings. Current listed colorways ship with polarized CR-39 (see pairings below). Designed in California. 100% made in Japan. $610 at The Last Optical (SALT. site lists $650).
Who it’s for. Anyone who wants a true butterfly sunglass—elegant, a little theatrical, still wearable. The 60 mm eye and 53 mm depth are oversized; 17 mm bridge and 142 mm temples. Come in to check the width and the saddle of the titanium on your nose. Not a small-face round.
Shape. Butterfly (oversized).
Material. Aerospace-grade Japanese titanium; Japanese componentry. Polarized optical-grade glass and CR-39 (colorways below list the CR-39 lens SALT. currently pairs). Coatings: AR, hydrophobic, oleophobic.
Origin. Designed in California. 100% made in Japan.
