SALT. Lewis is the modified Windsor sun: Japanese acetate, functional rivet hinges, polarized optical-grade glass or CR-39 already in the chassis. SALT. writes the vintage Windsor worn by cultural icons, then raises the bridge off the 180° line and keeps a keyhole so the classically round shape sits more flattering on any face. We sell it as a 48 mm acetate Windsor with a 22 mm keyhole, not a wrap and not Lewis 45/48 RX.
Japanese acetate, functional rivet hinges, polarized optical-grade glass and CR-39, plus AR, hydrophobic, and oleophobic coatings. Designed in California. Handcrafted in Japan. $520.
Who it’s for. Anyone who wants a true Windsor sun in acetate, not a wrap. 48 mm eye, 22 mm bridge, 148 mm temples, 42 mm depth. The raised 22 mm keyhole is the universal Windsor bridge — come in and check it. Not a wrap.
Shape. Round (sun). Manufacturer tags the shape as round and describes a modified Windsor — classically round, heritage of early eyewear, updated to be more flattering on any face, with a raised keyhole for a universal fit.
Material. Japanese acetate; functional rivet hinges; Japanese componentry. Polarized optical-grade glass and CR-39 (colorways below list the lens SALT. currently pairs). Coatings: AR, hydrophobic, oleophobic.
Origin. Designed in California. 100% made in Japan.
