SALT. Mason is the midcentury square in mono-block titanium — tapered Japanese titanium, custom rim-lock, not a heavy acetate block and not Mason-V. SALT. writes a homage to the American midcentury metal that set the standard for tailored fit: the same classic aesthetic, modern mono-block titanium, subtle two-tone color, a top-down taper so the lens is supported, not pinched. The balanced feel is the point. We sell it as a 52 mm titanium square you can actually wear, not a wrap and not the insert version.
Handcrafted in Japan. Aerospace-grade Japanese titanium, custom rim-lock, Japanese componentry. Designed in California. Frame $540.
Who it’s for. Anyone who wants a midcentury square that stays light on the face — all titanium, two-tone, no acetate front. 52 mm eye, 16 mm bridge, 142 mm temples, 36.5 mm depth. The 16 mm bridge is the tighter titanium square — come in and check the 52 on your face. Optical frame; we fill the Rx here.
Shape. Square (optical). Manufacturer tags the shape as square and describes a classic midcentury metal: tapered titanium, mono-block construction, custom rim-lock, clean color transitions.
Material. Aerospace-grade Japanese titanium, mono-block process so there are fewer stress points. Top-down tapered thickness to reduce stress on the lens. Custom rim-lock. Japanese componentry. Titanium for lifetime durability with a featherweight feel.
Origin. Designed in California. 100% made in Japan.
